I am Dr Akash Patel, a surgical registrar with Bayside Health Peninsula, with experience across general surgery, ICU, emergency medicine and general medicine. I hold an MBBS and a Master of Public Health, and completed ACEM’s Foundational Emergency Medicine Training Program. I am undertaking a Postgraduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy at the University of Melbourne and preparing for the GSSE. My interests include acute care surgery, surgical education, and clinically grounded quality improvement, with a focus on clear, pragmatic translation to bedside decision-making in complex inpatient settings.
