Dr Lekamalage is a General Surgery Trainee registrar currently working at Taranaki Hospital in New Zealand. He has worked at Regional and rural centres such as Tauranga Hospital and Whakatane Hospital as well as tertiary centres at North Shore Hospital.. Dr Lekamalage graduated from the University of Otago in 2019 with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MbChB). Dr Lekamalage has an interest in colorectal surgery and is vice president of the not-for-profit charity CRSANZ providing medical aid and volunteer missions to places such as Fiji and Sri Lanka.
