Professor Anand Deva is the Program head in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the Faculty of Health and Medical Science at Macquarie University. He is also co-director of the Surgical Infection Research Group at Macquarie University, which undertakes research into the prevention of surgical and medical device infection. Additionally, he holds senior staff specialist position and Conjoint Professor at Sydney hospital in the Department of Hand and upper limb surgery. Professor Deva is considered a leading academic and has published widely on issues related to wound healing and surgical infection, especially in relation to implantable medical devices.
