A/Prof Anita Jacombs is a General Surgeon with subspecialty expertise in all aspects of Hernia Surgery and Complex Abdominal Wall reconstruction. She combines a high-volume clinical hernia practice with an active academic career. Recently she has been appointed as the Chair of Surgery at Blacktown Clinical School and Western Sydney University and is looking forward to the challenge of a Clinical Academic Practice. She has completed a PhD on the role of Bacterial Biofilm in surgical implants and is widely published in these areas and presented her research in National and International Surgical Conferences.
