Daksh Tyagi is a final-year medical student with a keen interest in orthopaedic surgery, trauma systems and AI. He is the outgoing President of the Australasian Students’ Surgical Association and has led national initiatives in student surgical education, research and advocacy. Daksh is an active surgical researcher with 12+ peer-reviewed publications and multiple national and international conference presentations, with work spanning trauma care delivery, surgical outcomes and workforce development. He currently collaborates with multidisciplinary teams across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand on multicentre trauma and perioperative research, and is committed to translating clinician-led evidence into practical improvements in surgical care.
