Dr Dimitrios Nikos, MD, MTrauma, is a PGY3 Australian surgical resident at Flinders Medical Centre, Adelaide, with a strong clinical and academic focus in orthopaedic trauma and lower limb reconstruction. He holds a Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Medical Studies from Bond University and a Master of Traumatology with Distinction from the University of Newcastle. Dr Nikos has operative exposure in acute fracture management and arthroplasty and is actively involved in multidisciplinary trauma care. He has authored multiple first-author systematic reviews, contributes to randomised controlled trials, and is actively engaged in orthopaedic research and postgraduate surgical education. His interests include trauma outcomes research and evidence-based orthopaedic practice.
