Kia ora, my name is Khushee. I am a graduate of the University of Auckland, currently working as a first-year doctor at Auckland City Hospital. I have a special interest in colorectal surgery and surgical outcomes research, with a focus on long-term functional outcomes following gastrointestinal surgery such as ileoanal pouch surgery. I am particularly interested in translating patient-reported outcomes to improve surgical care and long-term patient outcomes. I want to pursue a career in clinical-academia in general surgery, centred on improving postoperative outcomes and contributing to the literature on initiatives to enhance surgical care.
