Dr. Jansson is a pre-SET surgical registrar currently based in Queensland working in plastic and reconstructive surgery. He has a research interest in equitable access to surgical care in rural and regional communities. He completed postgraduate medical training in 2022 and a Master of Surgery via dissertation, focusing on regional health outcomes, oncoplastic and reconstructive surgery and improving service provision. As a relatively new researcher, his academic work focuses primarily on geographic and demographic determinants of access to breast reconstruction specifically. He intends to pursue specialty training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and maintain an academic focus on rural/regional health services research alongside clinical practice.
